I have experienced first hand throughout my life the unjustified judgement with which society views the bravest and most wonderful people – often the most creative and most capable among us – solely for daring to feel everything they carry on the inside and to be exactly who they are = human beings with all of their emotions. I decided to reject the underlying judgement, the lie that is unfortunately often the main source of my client’s difficulties (when, ironically, they are one of the strongest people because they were brave enough to seek help). Resisting emotions is the cause of many various psychological disorders. Resistance often poses a much bigger problem than the emotions themselves. Trust me on this.

In 2021, after another challenging period in my life, in the late night and early morning hours I was woken up by words and a melody that I immediately wrote down in my evening writing pad. They were a final goodbye to all of my past self-judgements with which I viewed myself because I have always felt strongly and bravely about everything in my life. They became invaluable fuel to spread my message to you and encourage you to liberate your being of all unnecessary shackles. Remember that the people that will contradict you are people who do not know how to cope with their own internal existential difficulties, or even the possibility or fact that they are experiencing such a thing. Don’t be afraid. You are not alone. Emotions such as sadness, anger and fear are completely normal and even vitally important parts of our life’s journey. Life is hard. Complex. Life is not just happy and positive thoughts. It would be weird and even destructive if it were any other way. At the end of the day, it is our exceptional humanity that makes us such wonderful and fantastic beings. Otherwise, we would be extremely boring, as would our stories and lives.

Was I incredibly lucky to find my collaborators while making my idea a reality? – I truly was! My greatest gratitude goes to my fellow musician and producer Dominik Lučić and artist and cinematographer Kristijan Gradečki, who did an amazing job and without whose help I would have had a terribly difficult time making the song as strong as it is now.

Shortening the initially longer (!) song was an excellent idea, while Dominik's arrangement certainly highlighted and elevated the dramatic ambient and changes, as well as the gentleness of the song’s message. In addition to Dominik, I have to endlessly thank Kristijan, who approached the song with great interest and love, carefully guiding me through an entirely new process for me and giving me very valuable and useful feedback, advice and warnings while filming the music video! I was truly touched by his involvement and dedication to each detail of filming and importance of each frame, so we could truly evoke visually the emotion behind the underlying idea without causing scandal or completely moving away from the song’s theme. I cannot put in words how this approach and such a collaborator meant to me on this most important life mission of mine. My dear collaborators, my heart will forever be grateful to you for everything. You are wonderful, exceptional and have surpassed all my expectations.

I am particularly grateful to the owners of Ozalj Castle, the Brethren of the Croatian Dragon, who kindly allowed and sponsored the filming of a part of the music video in one of the historically most significant and most beautiful castles in Croatia. In art, even when you write your own music and lyrics and sing and act in your music video, the reality is that expenses of such a project are still enormous. Art unfortunately costs a fortune, but when you have an idea that is not profitable in the traditional sense and you want to reach as many people as possible it is even more important to invest in quality and a professional production. A lot of people ask me when my album is coming out and I sincerely tell them that the only reason for not releasing it is money (the songs have been ready for quite some time ;) ). This is why I am incredibly grateful for every financial support or sponsorship that has come my way. In the meantime, I continue to put all my efforts into my work so I can slowly invest into my next art project without you having to wait too long. ;)

The second location of the filming was the wonderful lake, Planšarsko jezero, in Slovenia. I told Kristijan several times that the music video needed to incorporate a lake so that the song could breathe life into my symbol of fullness by reflecting everything that is and every emotion to bravely take us to the very core of life through the greatest emotion of all – love. Therefore, we were determined to seek with all of our hearts the best possible lake to achieve this goal! The symmetry of the lake and the powerful scene on the pier, that can be seen at the song’s crescendo as a dramatic presentation of the power that comes alive when we face our emotions, was the final touch that we needed to vividly depict that what you feel does not make you small and weak but quite the opposite – it makes you even more beautiful and grand. It truly is and should exclusively be a triumph to face yourself and be what you are, so I hope we have managed to visually translate that with my determined steps in the last frames of the video. Moreover, even though this is the first music video I ever filmed, I often get asked if I have been doing it my whole life. Filming may not be something that I have been doing (although thank you for your kind words), but in some ways the song’s theme is something that I have truly lived my whole life. Although you can see me walking on the pier for just a couple of seconds, you can be sure that in many ways I am embodying something that has lived inside me for a very long time. Your psyche and your outward appearance, as you can see, are inextricably connected. And in constant communication. Isn’t it wonderful?

I am very touched and extremely happy to see how many people have recognised my song’s value: the song has been viewed over 74000 times on YouTube and was featured on radio and in other media (FOR MORE SEE MEDIA). This makes me really happy because I know very well that any time word spreads about mental health it means that there is a chance for change and hope in one more heart.
